One way to become a person that people know, like, and trust is to provide quality information about topics your ideal client is looking for.

Sometimes this kind of writing is called writing advertorials. The message is useful in itself, though there is a subtle pitch or draw to further look at a product or service.

One way to do this is to write informative articles that can be posted in various places, including:

  • Blog post on your website post on your social media platforms.
  • Guest post on blog sites.
  • Articles published in online and print media publications.
  • As articles sent to your mailing list as part of a newsletter. The newsletter could be email, print, or both.

Elements of Success

The number one rule is that the content needs to be of interest and valuable to the reader.

The article needs to be professional and informative.

The byline or conclusion needs to clearly state the author with a link back to your website or landing page.

The Marketing Wheel Hub Strategy

Here is one strategy to try:

  1. Write the article as a blog post on your website.  The more content you have, the more opportunities for people to find you on searches and visit your site.
  2. Post on all of your social media platforms with a link to the blog post. Be sure to have an appropriate image appear in the posts.
  3. Track the clicks and where they are coming from.
  4. Write another post and repeat:-)

Edit and Post

You can try editing to create slightly different versions for posting in different social media platforms.

I suggest editing because search engines and social media platforms could restrict access for identical content.

This is also an opportunity to experiment with different headlines.
